DEMISE OF IFAWPCA PAST PRESIDENT GARRY TAIT OF RMBA (New Zealand)

mourns the demise of

 

 

 

GARRARD B. TAIT

IFAWPCA Past President (1999-2001)

 

Mr. “Garry” Booth Tait passed away on 17 August 2015 after a struggle with cancer. He was 85 years old. His active professional involvements saw him as Past Chairman/President of the following: the Wellington Branch New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the Wellington Employers Association, the New Zealand Employers Federation, the Wellington Master Builders Association and the New Zealand Master Builders Federation (now known as RMBA).  He was elected a fellow of the New Zealand and Australian Institutes of Building, and was delegate to the ILO Conference in Geneva in 1982 and the Building Committee meet in Geneva in 1983 and 1987.  He was a building consultant, project manager, arbitrator and administrator, all-in-one.

During his IFAWPCA days, he represented and served in various capacities as Delegate, Committee Chairman, Board Member, 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President and ultimately the IFAWPCA President of the 31st Convention held in Christchurch, New Zealand in February 2001.
